THE VERY IDEA OF GOING THE DISTANCE, RISING TO A CHALLENGE
8 HOURS AGO.......
after reading the runners guidebook provided by the organiser, we decided to follow the pre-race preparation, as suggested in guidebook page 22 : Eat Well- throughout the entire day. low-fibre and compact sugar foods like carbohydrates are recommended (so we had wong-ah-wah chicken wing-plentyful, fried rat-tail noodle, fried rice, bbq stingray, ba-li-tong, fried half shell cockles-bandar baru style, roast pork dry noodle) You may even like to use liquid meal supplements that are low in residue, leaving you to race light. (so we had no choice but to add on liquid supplement) Keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water. (from the numbers of bottles on the table, you should know we treat the guide book as our running-bible)Do not attempt to change your sleep pattern. (Been went to bed 3 am for the past few days in China, I swear!)You will be excited, so rest early and relax your body. (Needless to say, we were really really relax after our wong-ah-wah feast)
10 HOURS LATER.....AND THE RESULT :
neoh did 1 hr 01min, vincent 1 hr 07min, mine was 1 hr10min... i can only beat these 2 buggers in drinking marathon
vincent said we should have another round of liquid supplement after race, but i missed my dim-sum and pu-er
i had my run... i had my fun....babe i'm done, and i wanna go home...... thank to chicken wing and my most faithful pre-race liquid tonic, don't think i could made it without them...viva alcohol!!!
