雨中的午餐

下榻市中心面海的公寓,明天就要離開離開亞庇。

小雨中漫無目的,被這家轉角的茶室吸引:
很像小時家鄉那種開在車站旁的咖啡店;
大眾化中帶龍蛇混雜,
有一種無視紅塵的傲然和樸實。入內才知道是回教徒打理的,要了雞飯;

主要是 試試附送的雞湯:
一般西馬的馬來雞飯都有配送加足香料熬燉的例湯,

這家的湯水一般,不過雞肉嫩滑有雞味 ,
飯香亦足,是意外的驚喜。


炒飯不錯,是海南西餐式炒法,
對炒飯要求不多的非華族來說,已是美味。
特別的是菜心蓮葉連梗下,為中式炒飯所不取。



西馬馬來人去海南茶室最愛點的炒面,
這里的炒得又香又帶甜,難得的是竟帶鍋氣。


斗蘭面好吃,不過另一家華人的會更好,
下豬油的關系吧。


最難忘的是 平平實實牛油砂糖面包卷,
小時候的味道,
連碟子都那麼七十年代,滿足!

晴朗的早餐

绚丽的早上,晴朗的南中国海

咸咸又腥腥的海风,惊醒了宿醉


亚庇的阳光,还是透着那一点点的异国情怀




酒意一消,肚子就饿了。
走过对街,看到很多当地人在吃早餐,
应该错不了,就坐了下去

连熬了几天酒店早餐,连忙点了面食后,要了些糕点。

卖相和西马大同小异,味道不怎么样。


这包有点像我们那西鲁妈的包包饭就有点意思了

饭染得黄黄的,还以为是黄姜,一试没有味道
其实吸引我的是那条香肠,那么暧昧的与饭向依相偎,
古怪的配搭;
和饭一样:没有味道, 真是绝配!


乾面老老实实的,但猪油拌过,
怎么样都比酒店的凉拌意大利面条沙律好吃,
烧肉也很不错。


咖哩面很香浓,是砂拉越叻沙的做法。
吃了几口依依不舍放下,怕难以消受椰浆浓


虾面汤又香又清甜,是大量虾壳熬出来的成果。
难得的是中虾只只新鲜,这才像虾面;
不像吉隆坡的为了卖得好价一味求大,
用的又是乾涩没味的冷冻货。
當然,最正宗的是用北馬的小小蝦仔,
一下就一大堆的, 那才叫好吃!

最期待的其实是斗兰麵,也有叫炒沙巴麵的。
以前住家附近有一档常吃的,搬走后再没吃过好吃的。
这家炒的锅气腾腾,麵香四溢:
原来,故知,真的要在他乡才能重逢。

Telekom Run 2010

To join this run was a last minute notice, started from Jalan Raja Chulan and we passed thru KLCC and breath-taking views of Bukit Nenas. We even ran thru the KL tower area (entrance area only, not climbing up the tower!)


made some new friends, and this was the most valuable asset we gained from running



Waited for hours for medal collection, and everyone was so annoyed and impatient.
First time we have to wait for quiz, cultural dance and games before the prize giving




Got a prize, but the price was playing telematch, turned out to be the laughing stock of the day, especiallywon the most unforgettable prize in my life :
a bottle of mineral water, pack of tissue paper and a small mug!






Got a stunning result of 38min, but I knew it wasn't my range of speed; then was informed that the distance was actually 7km, instead of what the organiser annouced as 10km.
It was a great fun, expect the waiting part..






KL Marathon 2010

Was alone this year. Vincent upgraded to full. And Neo not coming.

Still remember last year we indulged plenty of beers and carbo-s few hours before the run.


It was showering since 5am plus, but subsided after 6pm.


Quite a pleasant route, gone thru Brickfileds, Loke Yew, Cheras.
Cooling air but terrific turned heavy approving city centre of Jalan Tun Razak



And then the busy Bukit Bintang Area. Little out of fuel but the spectators kept me running




The most demotivating part was the final 1km in Jalan TAR,
all those fun runners were walking, turning our morale down..
This was the most difficult part to combat.



Result was 2hr 40, much below my expectation.
And It was a lonely journey without my running buddies..


Some how it was a great experience,
and I'm certain that I'll be back next year, running the full marathon.

inaugrual half




it was a mistake registered half, but a sweet one.



my honor indeed to be given a 001 elite bit,

registered under media group


just came back from a 2 day tough trip from S'pore,

and was a little worry about my perform ace


did it in 2hr 20min, was satisfied and pleased as a first timer

not many from media group participating half category,

most of them went for 3km fun run, and the max was 10km.

the only regret was should had brought kewei.

he just qualified for the youth category which is 10 years old and above.

And he turned exactly 10 today.




The organiser actually prepared a birthday cake and planned to give away the medal to him over it. Too bad he didn't turned up. Other than than this, everything seemed all right.

Made new friends, pleasant run over a minor showering rain, and most importantly,

I embarked into a longer journeof my running career ...

用心机用新机

趁亚庇之行,买了部新单镜头机。
中学后久没搞机矣
除了大学的摄影课程,
久未动单镜头机,
独爱单纯的傻瓜。
此番重逢,侊如隔世
在酒店闷了几餐,去了朋友推荐的当地海鲜中心
店主猛推石头鱼,没吃过,要了一条,八十大元
肉质很细很甜,但肉很少,贵了一点。


当地特产沙巴菜,应和砂拉越米淋菜同宗:
翠脆翠脆,不错!


螃蟹一般,隐约感到不是当地的。
应该是印尼货;西马的深海青壳蟹好得多



不算鲜甜,但酱料香香辣辣的,很不错
也忘了是吃蟹还是吃配料。



全场最好吃是鱼露米粉。
米粉炒得乾身够火,用的是粗条米线
虾米不会硬硬的,鲜味得很


没吃过迷你型的象拔蚌,在水缸中见到,马上要了。
炒得韧度刚好,一过熟就会变鞋底板


蚝煎没什么特别,是等上菜时顺便叫来送酒的。
难得的是蛋下的很大方,不像西马的都是粉
一粒蛋才多少钱,小家子气,怎做得了大厨?


鸡翅也是看隔壁座点了,跟着点的。
连酒带吃,总共花了一百五十左右吧,
在黑店林立的亚庇,不算贵。
